  1. Goodness that was awesome. Makes you wonder if that really did happen, huh? well it could have, but we will never know, since it wasn't actually in the book.

Anyway, just finishing up reading book #1 of Shadow World - Queen of Shadows by Dianne Sylvan. AWESOME!!! I think I found another favorite series. I can't wait until tuesday when #2 comes out. I really hope there will be more of this series as well.

Also read Charley Davidson. I LOVED it!!!! Have you ever read Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich? Well it has about the same sense of humor as this Charley Davidson series. Its great!!!!

  2. "Makes you wonder if that really did happen, huh?"

That's exactly what I wondered when I finished reading it. Someone else on Tangler mentioned that they could have been involved all along and she may have never known, well except before the mind wipe. Even though it wasn't in the book, this idea may have already played out in Moning's head.

If it did happen, it seems to be a violation of trust between Mac & Barrons, even though it was consensual. I'm going to go with, it was just hot fantasy Barron's cooked up. He probably had many throughout the series about Mac.

I'm glad you liked Queen of Shadows & Charley Davidson. I waited forever to read Queen of Shadows, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Don't forget to read the ending Supplements from her site. I thought the supps rounded out the curt ending. They should be in the book, IMO.

You've read Alex Craft yes? If not, you will probably like it, if you liked Charley Davidson.

  3. Forgot to mention, that I've never heard of Stephanie Plum, but the Janet Evanovich sounds familiar. Is that an endorsement? I'll have to check it out, thanks.

  4. Janet Evanovich used to write romance. Now she writes hummm..... action/humor/mystery with a little of romance thrown in. Her Stephanie Plum series cracks me up. I guess its an endorsement, its not UF or PNR, its just a fun series.

I will send you a link in my private chat to you through Tangler that might be of interest.

ALex craft, it is on my list to be read. If its like Charley Davidson, then maybe I might have to bump it up.

  5. I'll have to read a sample of Stephanie Plum, before I commit, but it sounds intriguing.

Alex Craft/Charly Davidson. I would say that the plot is sort of similar (at least w/ the first book), but Charly Davidson is probably funnier. I thought the humor was borderline snarky and a tad annoying-but I got over it.

Back to the Fever Supplement; after reflection I would say the scene would never have happened. I mean, I just don't see Mac sleeping with Barrons the first day. So very Romancesque. And I don't think I would have preferred it if it did, but great for supplement and for fans. I like the series as-is and how their relationship built-up to that point.

  6. It would have been nice to have gotten Barron's POV of a prior existing sexy scene (sort of like what Ilone Andrews did) but beggars can't be choosers I guess.

  7. I totally agree about that the sex scene should have have happened, it would really ruin the series. I like the build up as well.
I haven't read Ilone Andrews, I have tried but couldn't get into it. I keep telling myself to give it another go.

anyway I sent you an email, or something through your contact me on your blog it has some quotes in it from the SP series.

  8. Rgr that, I'll look through my mail.

I've mentioned this on Tangler, but I accidently started on the third book in the Kate Daniels series (I mislabeled the ebooks). Anyways, that may be the reason why I took to them quicker. After going back and reading from the beginning, I can see why others may have issue getting hooked.

Just like the the Hollows series, the Kate Daniels books also get a lot better as they progress. I wouldn't have kept going with the Hollows series, if I hadn't already bought the first 5 books.

My suggestion w/ Kate Daniels, either skipping or skimming the first book.
