A Sequel?

I guess money, fame, and commercialism has again won-out to creative instincts, because I got the distinct impression that The Host was a standalone.   Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book, but it didn't give me any sense that this was anything but another YA book. The action and adult content were definitely muted, and the book suffered as a result. Still, I'm interested to hear more about this continuation.

And of course a Stephenie Meyer book wouldn't be complete without a movie to go along with it.  The movie will begin filming in 2011, and will be released some time in 2012.  Soap hunk, Erik Fellows, is rumored to play Ian in the movie.

The Host: A NovelThe Host

When Melanie, one of the few remaining "wild" humans, is captured, she is certain                                   it is her end.
